Buyer protection
Buy watches with confidence.
Wind It Up is built on trust, condition, and authenticity. Here is how we protect buyers when purchasing secondhand and gray market watches on the platform.
How protection works
Every order on Wind It Up follows a clear flow designed to keep both buyer and seller protected. We hold funds while the watch is in transit and step in when something does not match what was agreed.
Payment held securely
When you buy on Wind It Up, your payment is held securely while the order is processed. The seller never receives funds instantly.
Clear timelines
Each order has clear expectations for shipping and communication. If something is late or off, you can flag it to our team.
Human review
Our team reviews listings and is available to help if something does not match what was described.
What is covered
- Watch not delivered or lost in transit (subject to carrier investigation).
- Watch significantly not as described (wrong reference, major undisclosed damage, missing parts).
- Counterfeit or non-authentic pieces, when supported by credible documentation.
- Duplicate charges or clearly unauthorized payments on your account.
What is not covered
- Normal wear and minor cosmetic issues consistent with the described condition.
- Buyer remorse or change of mind after a correctly described, authentic watch arrives.
- Damage caused after delivery (e.g. accidental drops, water damage, improper use).
- Transactions or communication that happened fully outside Wind It Up.
If something goes wrong
In the rare case where a watch does not arrive as expected, we follow a structured dispute process. Our priority is to protect buyers while being fair to honest sellers.
Talk to the seller first
Most issues are resolved quickly with clear communication. Use the order details to message the seller and try to clarify or resolve.
Contact Wind It Up support
If you cannot resolve it, contact our team with photos, tracking details, and a clear description of the issue so we can review.
Review and resolution
We review the case, may request additional documentation, and decide on next steps—which can include partial refund, full refund, or returning the watch to the seller.
